Realbuzz.com

Just found a really good website and has some great articles and motivational reading material.
My week has been pretty uneventful but have been on track all week since the WW meeting. I have been religiously writing everything down and measuring and weighing all my portions, even down to chunks of cheese!
Have been to the gym on Monday & Wednesday and off again tomorrow so hopefully everything is going to go my way this week.
Just realised my next fun run is on Fathers Day, so what better inspiration and motivation to do this for my Dad (although he would be saying, I'd rather have a pressie!) I am going to aim for a time of 38 mins 30 secs or less.
Have added a few new songs to the Ipod as I had only a few and I can only listen to Queen - Don't stop me now so many times - although what a great song to run to.
TiK ToK Ke$ha P
Pump It Black Eyed Peas Don't Stop Me Now Queen
Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It) Beyoncé
We No Speak Americano Yolanda Be Cool & D Cup
Number 1 Tinchy Stryder (feat. N-Dubz)
Hey Ya! OutKast
Fight for This Love (Cahill Remix Edit) Cheryl Cole
Jai Ho! A.R. Rahman & The Pussy Cat Dolls
Push It Salt-N-Pepa
1 Thing Amerie
All fast beats that get me going. Any suggestions for more???
That's me for tonight, Hopefully having an early night so I'm good and fresh for the gym tomorrow morning. CIAO x

New Motivation

Monday yesterday and decided to go along to sign up to Weight Watchers (again!) And I am glad i did. Got all new reading material and stayed for the meeting and it was great.

So from today I will be religiously following the WW plan.

Already I know where my problem was for the last couple of weeks. PORTION SIZES. After eating my breakfast this morning, I weighed my Weetabix Mini's (I am weighing everything this week). A normal portion 40g is 2.5 points which is about half of what I normally eat. I weighed 80g (5 points) which is what I usually have and can see where I am going wrong.
After eating the 80g portion I was allocating 2.5 points instead of the 5.

I am really happy about this, cos at least now I know where I have been going wrong. That was just for breakfast. I am sure with my other meals I am doing the same. So to be sure this week the food scales will be my nest friend. i will attempt to use them whenever I can to make sure i stay within my points allowance.

At WW last night, I found out I am allowed to eat 23 points per day. If I stick to the maximum 0f 23 points each day I WILL lose weight. Simple as that! Just for this week I am going to try for 18 points a day, so I know I will have a good loss this week.

So I have just had breakfast and already have used 5 points for my weetabix. I also allow 2 points per day for a pint of skimmed milk, used for brekky, cups of coffee etc. So that's 7 points gone already. I have 11 points for the rest of the day. Gives me good motivation to make wise food choices and to eat filling foods. I could make a butternut squash and red pepper soup which has 0 points (but cant be bothered - haha)

THIS IS IT GUYS!!!!!

Another Weigh In Result

94.3KG today, which is 800g off since last week. I should be happy but Im not. Ive been doing lots of exercising and have been watching what I eat. I really thought I would have lost a bit more.

I thought I would find it harder maybe when I'm in the mid 80's to shift the weight but not at the moment. Oh well, I must be doing something wrong somewhere along the line. (I'm not having secret binges either, I would tell you if I did - I would only be cheating myself)

DON'T LAUGH(because this will be about the 101st time I have re-joined).... I'm thinking of going along to my local Weight Watchers meeting on Tuesday. They have free registration and first meeting free at the moment, so it is not going to cost me any extra. I need some new inspiration and it's good to hear the stories of others trying to lose weight too. They have WW at the gym where I go to, so its not out of my way either.

We are off to St James' Park today to feed the ducks and have a run around.

I just don't get it........

So I have weigh in tomorrow, and I know I shouldn't have done it but couldn't resist to having a peek at the scales this morning. What I saw was not what I wanted! Sometimes I think what is the point? I'm trying so hard and the weight is not moving, I might as well eat what I want and be a fatty.

Been drinking lots of water today, It will be short of a miracle if I have an impressive loss tomorrow. gee I'm so disappointed...... Oh well, we will wait and see

So far So good........

Well the week has been progressing good so far. Have been pretty good food wise, so hopefully it will show on Sunday.
I have been to the Gym on Monday and Wednesday and jogged 5km each time and I have gym tomorrow as well.
All good, Have been eating seafood a lot this week. We have had Baked Salmon on Monday and Tuna Steaks yesterday and tonight I am making a Tomato Based Sauce with Mussels, Onion & Garlic and will have it with some Linguine.
Recently I bought some digital kitchen scales and I must say they are brilliant! A problem I have with losing weight is portion control. A portion that I usually think is ok, is actually double what I think it is. A uncooked portion of Pasta is much less than you think it is. A 'normal' plate of pasta for me was usually double if not more than what I should have been eating.
So the Scales will help me out a lot and maybe train my brain to acknowledge the new portion sizes I should be eating.
Well, I will be back soon, tell you about new new 'fad' Goji Berry Juice. Am off to make Dinner because I am starving..............

Day 1

Today feels like the start of a totally new weight loss regime. I feel I have been hovering around 95kg for a few weeks now so I am going to be totally serious this week in order to get a good weight loss this week.

So far so good. Been to the gym this morning and have been pretty good with my eating. Have been writing everything down. Had some yummy Salmon and Salad for dinner tonight. But as I am writing this at 11pm my tummy is growling big time. This would be the the time Id make a hot milk coffee and have some bikkies, but I will just go to bed. I do feel smaller though when I know my tummy is rumbling (if you know what I mean)

I have drunken lots of water today too and also have had my Psyllium Husks (makes me windy)

So here's hoping this is the start of a motivating week with results to show for it on Sunday.

Geez I'm hungry..........

GAIN

Well no surprises today. I have had my first gain since I started. I'm 95.1kgs which means I have put on 200gms. Not happy but of all weeks, I expected it this week. I have snacked all week and pretty much disregarded everything. I did do the gym 3 times, so you can imagine the gain would have been a lot more without the exercise.

I'm not too bothered about it, as I knew I had been naughty with my eating and am quite pleasantly surprised the gain just 200gms.

New Week starts tomorrow (Monday) and I will be 100% committed this week. Maybe I needed to see a gain to get me in kick start mode again. You watch me. This time next week I will be posting my weigh in results and they will say I weight 93.5kg.

My main list of things to do this week
- drink at least 2 litres of water a day
- take my psyllium husks twice a day before meals
- write everything down that I eat (I must concentrate on doing this, as I always fail on this and give up 1 or 2 days in!)

I am going to 'point' everything I eat this week using the Weight Watchers system. So to allow me to lose I will allow 18 food points per day. I still have all the WW material so should be good.
