So on Tuesdays I don't track as I use it as my 'Treat Day' The day I use my weekly 49 Propoints.

Back on track today 100%

I weigh in on a Tuesday lunchtime. After weigh in on a Tuesday I use it as my 'treat day'. Well this week, I have used Wednesday & Thursday as treat days too and have gone way off track.

I have drawn a line and started fresh from Friday, not sure this week will be good weigh in wise but I have been 2 days on track and for me that's good. I have made a conscious effort to track properly because I know I have to list here. I am weighing most things as well which helps because 'guesstimating' doesn't work for me as my portions are usually bigger than it should be!

Was up at 7.45am this morning getting ready for my weekly Brockwell Parkrun 5km timed run.
www.parkrun.com Well, i have only been 3 times but its great. My PB was achieved last week of 31:19 which I am very proud of, as the course consists of 1 & 3/4 laps of the park and there are 2 hills as well. I think if it was flat course, I could be close to the 30 min mark which is my goal (well 29:59 actually)
Felt very tired this morning and kept trying to make excuses with myself not to go but I did. Realised too, when I arrived that my Ipod was flat so no music today either.
Once the race started, I think I 'argued' in my head to 'just stop, pull out, its okay, don't worry' but I struggled through and as usual felt great when I had finished and glad that I finished the course. Those 2 hills are a killer! So today I finished in a time of 31:31-12 secs slower than last week but I'll take that because I felt tired and sluggish this morning.

This afternoon, consisted of going with the kids charity shopping (got some good bargains too)and a trip to McDonald's for them.

Hello! I'm back and ready to blog again....

Since March, I completed my Half Marathon in a time of 2:32:06 which I was happy with as it was my first and had no time to compare to. Also, I had never ran that sort of distance EVER.

I now have another Half Marathon booked for 09 October 2011 - The Royal Parks Half Marathon and I still haven't meet my weight loss goals I have set and now is the perfect time to get there.

I'm following Weight Watchers Pro Points plan at present, so will be recording what I am eating daily with the relevant Pro Points so I can track religiously this time.

I am allowed 29 Pro Points a day & also 49 Weekly Pro Points to be used for treats, meals out etc.

I will be adding to the blog daily from now on.

Hello, Hello

Well Half Marathon is ON this Sunday and I am shi**ing myself but a little bit excited too.

I have been sick the last week and hadn't exercised for about 2 weeks which hampered efforts.

Yesterday I did a 10.52km run and this morning 50 lengths at the Swimming pool and that is me for the rest of the week. I'm told that it is best not to train any more before the big day and rest up and also increase my carbohydrate intake, so looks like big bowls of Pasta for dinner Friday & Saturday!

I currently weigh 83kg so I've lost a little bit since last time (but not much!) 8kgs to go to get to my ultimate goal. Mini goal is 79.5kg before my Mum arrives on 8 April.

Sunday 13 February 2011

Well its been nearly a month since I updated this blog but I didn't because I have been 'yo-yoing' all month.

I unsuccessfully tried to do it alone (Weight Watchers) to no success. I sort of was cheating myself. I needed to have the weekly weigh in at the meeting to keep me on track. I rejoined 2 weeks ago and have success for both weeks.

To cut a long story short, I am currently weighing in at 83.6kg which is the best weight I've been since before Luca was born. This has been a great boost for me and great motivation for me for the coming weeks.

Weigh in Day today - 1kg off!
Current weight - 84.6kg

I am happy with that loss. I know now that I am not going to have any big losses now that my weight is slowly coming down and I am rapt with the 1kg loss.

I did 3 runs this week - 5km, 6.5km & 8.53km, so feel good. Half marathon is 21.1km so those runs are 'small fish'. Need to get my distance up rather than my speed.

Hoping to do a 10km run tomorrow either outside or at the gym. Hopefully I can report back that I did!

Ciao x

Where to start...

Well back on track as of last week.
Currently I weigh 85.6kg which is bad but not because last week I was 88kg. That is shocking to say the least. I knew it was Xmas but I ate so so much until my belly hurt everyday.

Anyway I have drawn a line and happy to say I am back on track. So weigh in done on Sunday and at 85.6kg, so I need to lose 1.8kg more to get back to my smallest weight of 83.8kg.

Have been doing my exercise and foolishly on the spur of the moment to keep me motivated entered myself into a Half Marathon (21.1km) at the end of March, but realistically I don't think I can do it. If it was say September, I would say yes but March is not that far away and am now worried. I'm just going to carry on and re-assess mid February to see what the situation is. I know it would probably be much easier to run if I lost at least another 5-7kg beforehand.

My mission for the next few weeks is to lose as much weight as I can rather than fully concentrating on the exercise (although these come in hand in hand when a diet is concerned!)I know things will be much easier when I have less lard to move with me!

I have also got on the Twitter bandwagon. Am following a lot of people in the same boat as me and vice versa, so we have a wee support group going.
Just uploaded my weight loss stats from last year when I started back in January 2010. These are from my Weight Watchers Scales and uploaded onto the computer so they are accurate and from the same set of scales.
